Monarch Hunt Club Official Monthly Challenge Rules

Effective: November 1, 2026

The Monarch Hunt Club Monthly Photo Challenge and Champion of the Year are judged contests of skill sponsored by Monarch Hunting Products LLC, 1109 US-67 S, Alvarado, Texas 76009 ("Sponsor"). Winners are chosen on the merits of their entries, not by chance. Void where prohibited.

1. Eligibility

  • Monarch Hunt Club challenge: active members who are legal U.S. residents, 18 or older.
  • Monarch Hunt Club for Kids challenge: children on an active Kids membership. The parent or legal guardian on the account submits all entries and accepts these rules on the child's behalf.
  • Employees of Sponsor and their immediate household members are not eligible.

2. Challenge periods

  • Entry period: 12:00 a.m. CT on the 1st day of the month through 11:59 p.m. CT on the last day of the month.
  • Voting period: the 1st through the 5th of the following month.
  • Winner announcement: on or about the 6th of the following month.

Each month's theme and prizes are posted on the club pages before that month's entry period opens.

3. How to enter

Submit through the members-only entry page during the entry period. One entry per member (or per child, for Kids) per month. Each entry must include:

  • One photo that fits the month's theme
  • Monarch Hunt Club: a 100 to 300 word story, plus the species or title, state, method, and date
  • Kids: a short caption and the child's first name and last initial

4. Entry requirements

  • The hunt or photo must be from that month's entry period.
  • All hunting must be legal, in season, fair chase, and with all required licenses and tags.
  • The entrant (or for Kids, the child or their family) must have taken the photo and hold the rights to it.
  • Basic cropping is allowed. No filters, composites, heavy editing, or AI-generated images.
  • No graphic, disrespectful, or offensive content.
  • For size-based themes, include a score, weight, or measurement.
  • Kids entries must not show last names, schools, addresses, or other location details.

Sponsor reviews every entry and may reject any entry that doesn't meet these rules.

5. Voting and judging

  • Member vote (70%): each active member gets one vote per month in their club and may not vote for their own entry. Only the first vote from each member counts. An entry's member score is its votes divided by the highest vote total, times 100.
  • Judges' score (30%): Sponsor's judges score each entry from 0 to 100 on photo quality, how well it fits the theme, the story or caption, and, for size themes, the size of the animal.
  • Final score: 70% of the member score plus 30% of the judges' score. The highest final score wins. Ties are broken by the higher judges' score.

Sponsor may disqualify votes or entries involving fake accounts, vote trading, or other manipulation.

6. Champion of the Year

Each club holds a Champion of the Year final. The finalists are that club's monthly champions from the season (January through December; the first season runs November 2026 through December 2027). After the December winner is announced, finalists' winning entries are posted for a members-only vote in January and scored with the same 70% member vote and 30% judges' formula. The Champion of the Year prize is announced before the final begins. A member who won more than one month competes once, with the entry of their choice.

7. Prizes

Each month's prize or prizes, with their approximate retail value, are announced on the club page before the entry period opens. Prizes are awarded as described and can't be exchanged for cash. Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize becomes unavailable.

  • Winners are responsible for any taxes on their prize. Winners of prizes valued at $600 or more must provide a completed IRS Form W-9 before the prize is awarded.
  • Firearm prizes, if offered, are transferred only through a licensed FFL dealer to a winner who is legally eligible to own the firearm in their state and passes a background check.
  • Kids prizes are shipped to the parent or guardian on the account.

8. Winner notification

Winners are notified by email at the address on their membership. A winner must respond within 7 days, or the prize may go to the entry with the next-highest score.

9. Use of entries

By entering, you give Sponsor permission to display your entry on Monarch's websites, social media, recap videos, and marketing, with your name as shown on the entry, without payment. Kids entries are shown with the child's first name and last initial only.

10. General conditions

Sponsor isn't responsible for lost, late, or incomplete entries, or for technical problems. Sponsor may cancel or change a challenge if something beyond its control affects fairness. Entrants release Sponsor from liability related to the challenge and prizes, to the extent allowed by law. These rules are governed by Texas law.

11. Winners list

Monthly winners and Champions of the Year are posted on the Monarch Wall of Fame. For a written list, email info@deerfeeder.com.
